Why use high-speed stamping molds?

Modern stamping technology is a high-tech that integrates various technologies such as equipment, molds, materials, and processes. High speed stamping technology is an advanced forming and processing technology developed in the past 20 years. The modern stamping technology for motor stator and rotor iron core parts is to use a multi station progressive die with high precision, high efficiency, long service life, and integrating various processes into a single mold for automated stamping on a high-speed punching machine. The stamping process is that the punched strip material is first leveled by a leveling machine after coming out of the coil material, and then automatically fed by an automatic feeding device. Then the strip material enters the mold and can continuously complete the stamping, forming, finishing, edge cutting, automatic stacking of iron core, feeding of twisted inclined stacking, and feeding of rotating stacking. The entire stamping process is automatically completed on the high-speed punching machine until the finished iron core part is transported out of the mold.
The precision molds of modern high-speed stamping cannot do without the cooperation of high-speed punching machines. Currently, the development trend of modern stamping technology at home and abroad is single machine automation, mechanization, automatic feeding, automatic unloading, and automatic finished product output. High speed stamping technology has been widely developed at home and abroad. The stamping speed of the stator and rotor iron core progressive die of the motor is generally 200-600 times/min, mostly working within the medium speed stamping range. The precision progressive die with automatic laminations for the stator and rotor iron core of the punching motor requires high precision accuracy for the slider of the punching machine at the bottom dead center, as it affects the quality of the automatic lamination process of the stator and rotor laminations in the mold to form the iron core. Nowadays, precision stamping equipment is developing towards high speed, high precision, and good stability, especially in recent years when precision high-speed punching machines have developed rapidly, playing a significant role in improving the production efficiency of stamped parts. High speed precision punching machines have advanced design structures and high manufacturing accuracy, making them suitable for high-speed stamping of multi station hard alloy progressive dies and greatly improving the service life of progressive dies.

The material punched by the progressive die is in the form of coils, so modern stamping equipment is equipped with auxiliary devices such as uncoiler and leveler. The automatic feeding device includes roller type, cam type, mechanical stepless adjustment type, gear type, CNC stepless adjustment type feeding machine and other structural forms, which are used in conjunction with corresponding modern stamping equipment. Due to the high degree of automation and fast speed of modern stamping equipment, in order to fully ensure the safety of the mold during the stamping process, modern stamping equipment is equipped with an electrical control system in case of errors. If the mold malfunctions during the stamping process, the error signal will be immediately transmitted to the electrical control system, which will send a signal to stop the punch immediately.
